He has been such a treasure in my life, teaching and guiding me toward being a better person filled with greater love and acceptance of others. Here are a few words of wisdom from Devon Konyha.

- What brings you frustration?
Devon’s Response: Politicians who do not care about human rights. Unkind people. People who do not listen.
- If you could change something in the world, what would it be?
Devon’s Response: I would like to touch the hearts of people who feel entitled to hate or hurt others. Or they just feel superior.
- Can you tell us about your job?
Devon’s Response: I am an usher at AMC Veterans Theatre. I have worked at AMC Veterans theatre for 9 years on May 12, 2023. I enjoy helping a family’s movie experience the best time possible. I like customer service and answering questions for movie patrons. I also enjoy time with my colleagues and management.
- Tell us some of your strengths.
Devon’s Response: I am patient and I am calm when others need help. I enjoy diverse people and learning new things. I appreciate anthropology and learning from all cultures. I love exploring and listening to good music. I am open-minded and strive every day to be a better person. I do not hate difference. I embrace things I do not understand because I love learning.
- What advice would you give to others to understand autism?
Devon’s Response: Individuals with Autism are not dumb. Try not judge others because of different learning styles.
Be patient. Be empathetic. Learn to listen instead of interrupting.
